Add a Dynagraph

You typically add Dynagraph items to the database once you have added the Dynacard Store that will be used to store the Dynagraphs’ data (see Dynacard Stores).

You need to add one Dynagraph item for each type of dynacard data that is to be uploaded to a particular Dynacard Store, and for which users are to view the uploaded data as a plot. (If required, you can associate multiple Dynagraphs with the same set(s) of uploaded dynacard data. For example, with each Dynagraph set up to display a different view of the uploaded data.)

To add a Dynagraph to the ClearSCADA database:

  1. Display the Database Bar (see Display an Explorer Bar in the ClearSCADA Guide to ViewX and WebX Clients).
  2. In the Database Bar, right-click on the System or Group for which you want to add a Dynagraph.
    A context-sensitive menu is displayed.
  3. Select the Create New option.
    A further menu is displayed.
  4. Select the Other option.
    A further menu is displayed.
  5. Select the Dynagraph option.
  6. A Dynagraph is added to the root of the System or to the selected Group (depending on your selection in step 2). It is selected automatically, ready for you to enter its name.
  7. Enter a suitable name for the Dynagraph (taking into account the ClearSCADA Naming Restrictions).
  8. Press the Enter key or select another part of the ViewX interface to confirm the entry.

When you have added a Dynagraph to the system, you can then Specify the Dynagraph’s Data Content.

NOTE: To access a Dynagraph from the Queries Bar, display the File Objects List, optionally filtering the List to only show Dynagraphs.
