Define an Outstation’s Shared Properties
The Outstation Form for Shared outstations includes a Shared tab.
Shared outstations communicate with the ClearSCADA server using one of two direct channels (see Shared Outstations). The channels are referred to as Line A and Line B. You define which channels you want to use as Line A and Line B, using fields on the Outstation Set tab of the relevant Outstation Set Form (see Defining Channel Settings for a Shared Set).
Use the fields on the Shared tab of the Shared Outstation Form to:
- Define a Shared Outstation’s Switching Capabilities
- Define an Independently Switching Outstation’s Preferred Channel
- Specify the Network-Connected Channels on Which the Driver Accepts Inbound Connections
- Poll Outstations on the Other Channel
- Hunt for a Healthy Line if ClearSCADA Detects that both Lines have Failed
- Define Group Slave Properties.
For any Shared outstation fields not described in the above sections, see the driver-specific documentation.
