Tabs that are Common to Many Configuration Forms

Much of the driver-specific configuration on advanced drivers is undertaken using a series of configuration Forms. These Forms have a series of ‘tabs’ or ‘pages’ on which you specify different aspects of configuration.

The Forms often have a combination of these tabs, which are common to many configuration Forms:

Identification

Use to optionally define a Help View and to indicate whether the item is to be excluded from any Exclusive Control activity (see Defining Identification Details in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Configuration).

User Methods

Use to define any custom pick actions (‘methods’) for the item (see Using the User Methods Tab to Define Custom Actions in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Configuration).

Alarm

Use to define optional features associated with alarms for the item (see Defining an Item or Group’s Alarm Properties in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Configuration).

Redirection

Use to define any alarm redirections for the item (see Configure Alarm Redirections for an Item or Group in the ClearSCADA Guide to Alarm Redirection).

In addition, the Forms include one or more tabs for specifying item- or driver-specific configuration. For information on configuring the properties on such tabs, see the relevant driver-specific documentation (for example, for information on the DNP3 tab on the DNP3 Outstation Forms, see the ClearSCADA Guide to the DNP3 Driver).

For aspects of configuration that are common to most types of database item, see the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Configuration.
