Setting up Alarm Redirections on a ClearSCADA System

To set up alarm redirections on your system:

  1. Carry out any necessary Preparation.
  2. If alarms are to be redirected to a nominated individual on a User Roster, configure the required User Roster(s) (see Configure a User Roster).
  3. Configure the required redirection Actions (see Configure a Redirection Action).
  4. If alarms are to be redirected on an Action Roster basis, configure the required Action Roster(s) (see Configure a User Roster).
  5. If alarms are to be redirection on a Calendar basis, configure the required Calendar(s) (see Configure an Alarm Redirection Calendar).

NOTE: Do not confuse Alarm Redirection Calendars with ‘normal’ Calendars. ‘Normal’ Calendars are used alongside other ClearSCADA features, such as Schedules, to indicate functions that are to occur on specific dates in the year.
For information on ‘normal’ Calendars, see Configuring Calendars in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Configuration.

  6. Configure the alarm redirection(s) that ClearSCADA is to trigger:

For more information, see Configure Alarm Redirections for an Item or Group.

This guide includes various examples that demonstrate how alarm redirections might be configured and used on a ClearSCADA system. You can use the examples as an aid when configuring alarm redirections on your system. For more information, see:
