Alarm Severity

Every database item for which alarms can be raised includes one or more Severity fields on its configuration Form. Use the Severity field(s) to specify the importance of the alarms and/or events that are associated with the item.

For information on Severity fields, see Defining Severities in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Configuration. See the relevant configuration section for information on the severity settings that apply to specific types of database item.

(With a change in point state, you can also specify whether such a change is to raise or clear an alarm, or merely be logged as an Event. For more information, see the relevant point configuration section in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Point Configuration, or the relevant driver guide.)
