You can use the Extra Alarm Columns window to alter the default order in which the extra alarm columns appear on the Alarms Lists and Alarm Banner. This is useful when you need to rearrange the columns so that related information is displayed side-by-side. The Extra Alarm Columns window settings only apply the default order of any extra columns that have been added to the Alarms Lists and Alarm Banner.
To change the order of the extra columns on the alarm displays:
- Display the Extra Alarm Columns Window.
- Select the name of the column that you want to change.
- Select the Move Up button to move the column up in the list or select the Move Down button to move the extra column down in the list.
The extra column at the top of the list on the Extra Columns for System window is the first extra column to be shown after the default columns on the Alarms Lists and Alarm Banner. The second extra column in the list is shown to the right of the first extra column, the third extra column is shown to the right of the second extra column and so on.
- Select the OK button to confirm your selections and close the Extra Alarm Columns window.
The order of the extra columns updates on the Alarm Banner on ViewX clients, and on Alarms Lists when they are next displayed. If a user is logged on to a WebX client when the changes are implemented, they will have to log off and then back on to that client in order for the Alarm Banner to show the revised column order.
You can re-organize the columns on an individual client by dragging and dropping the columns in the Alarms Lists on a ViewX or WebX client, or Alarm Banner on a ViewX client, as required (see Adjust the Columns on an Alarms List or the Alarm Banner).
