Import the Example Projects

To help you quickly get a feel for how a real ClearSCADA system works, we have included an Example Projects database that you will use throughout this tutorial. On many systems, you’ll find that the Example Projects are already loaded and are available to use straight away. However, if your system does not contain the Example Projects database, you are going to need to import the database file provided.

NOTICE

UNEXPECTED BEHAVIOR OF APPLICATION

The Example Projects database can only be installed at Root Group level within a database. It contains security settings, which might affect the configuration of an existing database.

We recommend that the Examples Project database be installed as a standalone server and used only for training and in conjunction with the Tutorial material.

Failure to follow these instructions can result in unexpected configuration changes.

The security features of ClearSCADA require a system administrator to import and configure the Example Projects database to enable you to use it within the Tutorial.

For information about the installation and importing of the Example Projects database, see Example Projects in the ClearSCADA Guide to Installation.
