Check the Status of a Third Party OPC Client - System Connection

Typically, you would use the Third Party OPC client application to monitor the status of the its connection to ClearSCADA. Many Third Party OPC applications include connection status tools (for more information, please refer to the documentation supplied with your OPC product).

However, you can also view the status of the Third Party OPC client - system connection in ClearSCADA by using the Server Status Tool which is available for use on the server PC. For more information on how to display it, see Run the Server Status Tool in the ClearSCADA Guide to the Server Status Tool.

To view the status of a Third Party OPC client - system connection, you need to view the Server>Links status settings. The Server Links settings provide information about every client - system connection including the Third Party OPC client - system connections. The information provided includes the amount and size of data sent from the Third Party OPC client to the server and from the server to the Third Party OPC client in response to the requests.
