Check the Status of the Client - System and Server Advise Connections
You can use the Server Status Tool to examine the status of the client - system and server advise connections. By examining the current status of a connection, you can determine whether the connection is working as expected and you can see if the connection is currently being used for communications.
The Server Status Tool is available for use on the server PC. For more information on how to display it, see Run the Server Status Tool in the ClearSCADA Guide to the Server Status Tool.
To view the status of a server advise connection (the connection the server uses to send unsolicited messages to a client), you need to view the Server>Advises status settings. The advises status settings provide various statistics and information about the server advise connection, including an indication of whether the connection has been established, and whether it is currently in use. For more information, see Advises in the ClearSCADA Guide to the Server Status Tool.
To view the status of a client - system connection (the connection the client uses to request data from the server, and the server uses to respond to requests from the client), you need to view the Server>Links status settings. The Server Links settings provide information about each client - system connection, including the amount and size of data sent from the client to the server and from the server to the client in response to the requests. For more information, see Links (Server) in the ClearSCADA Guide to the Server Status Tool.
