Failed WebX Client or XML Client - System Connections

If you attempt to access your system from a WebX, Original WebX or XML client and it is unable to establish a connection, the web browser application that you are using will display a ‘connection failed’ message.

WebX uses IIS web services to connect to connect to the ClearSCADA Server. When you install ClearSCADA the IIS web services are automatically configured with default settings to allow WebX clients to connect to the server, see Web and Mobile Setup.

NOTE:Refer to the IIS Administrator for assistance in working with IIS configuration settings.

Original WebX and XML clients use the built-in Web Server to connect to the ClearSCADA Server. The settings for the Web Server are configured using the System Configuration Tool, see Web Server Settings.
