The Primary Window Container is intended to display on the monitor that is the operational focus of a Multi-Monitor setup.
It is the only container type that supports the following ViewX interface components:
- File menu
- ViewX ribbon
- Status bar
- Tool windows (such as the Database Explorer and the Messages Window).
You can configure a Primary Window Container to:
- Display a single document (see Configure a Window Container to Display a Single Document)
- Display multiple documents (see Configure a Window Container to Display Multiple Documents).
It is also the only Window Container in which you can:
- Add commands to the Quick Access Toolbar (see Customize the Quick Access Toolbar in the ViewX and WebX Clients Guide)
- Create tab groups (see Arrange Multiple Document Windows in the Document Display Area in the ViewX and WebX Clients Guide)
- Float or Dock Windows (see Float or Dock Windows in the ViewX and WebX Clients Guide).
