Apply Default Formatting to a Value

Use the General format category when a value requires no particular formatting other than the default. For instance, a whole number is automatically displayed without any decimal places. If this is acceptable, and no other specific formatting is required, then choose the General category.

The Sample area of the Text Format window displays an example of how the value will appear on Lists, Trends, and Mimics, and so on.
