Clear an Entry from the Messages Window
By default, the Messages window contains messages that ClearSCADA has added to the window during the current work session (see Messages Window).
You can opt to clear one or more messages from the Messages window. To do this, perform one of the following:
- Right-click on the message in the Messages window.
A context-sensitive menu is displayed. - Either:
- Select the Clear option.
The individual message (or set of messages) is removed from the Messages window. - Select the Clear All option. (This option is only available on top-level messages (messages under which further item-specific messages are nested).)
The contents of the Messages window is cleared.
- Select the Clear option.
Or:
- Right-click on a blank part of the Messages window (below the existing messages).
A context-sensitive menu is displayed. - Select the Clear All option.
The contents of the Messages window is cleared.
You can also clear an individual message by using a button in the message dialog box that you can display from the Database Bar. The dialog is available for database items for which a notification indicator is shown (see Notification Indicator in the Explorer Bars).
If you want to view a diagnostic message that has been cleared from the Messages window, view the relevant entry in the Events List or Alarms List, as appropriate. For diagnostic messages that are associated with conflicting or invalid configuration, select the Display Errors option from an item's context-sensitive menu (for more information, see Correcting Invalid Configuration).
