Power Up the SCADAPack ES Outstation

To power up the SCADAPack ES outstation once you have created the DNP3 SCADAPack E items in the ClearSCADA database, connect the power supply to the SCADAPack ES outstation.

The SCADAPack ES outstation will perform its start-up sequence.

ClearSCADA will continually poll the SCADAPack ES outstation until it receives a response. The SCADAPack ES outstation will set the DNP3 Configuration Corrupt IIN bit in the response—this will cause ClearSCADA to raise a Configuration Required alarm.

ClearSCADA will download the configuration to the SCADAPack ES outstation—this will clear the Configuration Required alarm.

ClearSCADA will send a reset command the SCADAPack ES outstation—this will clear the Configuration Required alarm.

The SCADAPack ES outstation will reset—this will raise a Communication State - Failed alarm.

The SCADAPack ES outstation will perform its start-up sequence.

The SCADAPack ES outstation will send an unsolicited message to ClearSCADA—this will cause ClearSCADA to clear the Communication State - Failed alarm. The unsolicited message will contain have the DNP3 Configuration Corrupt IIN bit cleared, so that the Configuration Required alarm will not be raised, and ClearSCADA will not attempt to download a configuration to the SCADAPack ES outstation.
