Trend Retrieval Alarm
Associated with: DNP3 SCADAPack E outstations, other than DNP3 SCADAPack Remote DNP3 Devices
This status attribute is associated with ClearSCADA’s attempts to retrieve stored sampled trend data from the outstation. A request to retrieve such data might be initiated:
- Automatically, at the Trend Retrieval rate specified on the Outstation Form (see Configure the Trend Retrieval Properties)
- Manually or automatically, using the Retrieve All Trends pick action.
Possible states: Displays one of the Standard Alarm States.
The Trend Retrieval Alarm status attribute indicates whether ClearSCADA’s last attempt to retrieval sampled trend data was unsuccessful.
An alarm state indicates that the last request to instruct the outstation to create a Trend log, retrieve a Trend log, or delete a Trend log after the file has been read, was unsuccessful. Should an alarm state occur, ensure that there are no problems with communications to the outstation. If large amounts of data regularly need retrieving, or the link to the outstation is slow or heavily utilized, timeouts might occur. If such timeouts occur regularly and are not due to equipment failure, modify the configuration.
