Use the Protocol Type combo box at the top of the IEC 60870-5 tab to specify which communications protocol is used by the channel:
Choose from:
- IEC 60870-5-101—The channel is used for serial communications.
If you select this option, you also need to Configure IEC 60870-5-101 Protocol Properties for the channel.
- IEC 60870-5-104—The channel is used for TCP/IP communications.
If you select this option, you also need to Configure IEC 60870-5-104 Protocol Properties for the channel.
