Configuring IEC 60870-5 KEMA Analog Points
The IEC 60870-5 KEMA driver supports Analog Input points and Analog Output points.
Use IEC 60870-5 KEMA Analog Input points to map analog data for use within ClearSCADA. Use IEC 60870-5 KEMA Analog Output points to control analog values in an outstation.
Each Form has several tabs. This section covers the configuration of properties on the Analog Point and KEMA tabs.
For both IEC 60870-5 KEMA Analog Input Points and IEC 60870-5 KEMA Analog Output Points, use the Analog Point tab to:
- Configure Common IEC 60870-5 KEMA Point Properties
- Configure the Alarm Limits (see Alarms Limits in the IEC 60870-5 Driver Guide)
- Configure any Alarm Limit Profiles (see Specify any Alarm Limit Profiles in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Point Configuration)
- Configure Point Scaling (see Configure Point Scaling in the IEC 60870-5 Driver Guide)
- Configure the Point Formatting (see Define the Appearance of an Analog Point’s Values in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Point Configuration)
- Configure the Override Properties (see Define whether an Analog Point can be Overridden in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Point Configuration)
- Configure the Significant Change Properties (see Define the Criteria for a Significant Change in Value in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Point Configuration)
- Configure the No Change Properties (see Detect whether an Analog Point has Stopped Changing in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Point Configuration)
- Configure the Trend Properties (see Define an Analog Point’s Trend Settings in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Point Configuration)
- Configure the Logged Data Properties (see Processing Alarm Data for Point States in the ClearSCADA Guide to Advanced Drivers).
For IEC 60870-5 KEMA Analog Input Points also use the Analog Point tab to:
- Configure the Cause of Transmission properties (see Specify how ClearSCADA Interprets an Input Point’s Cause of Transmission in the IEC 60870-5 Driver Guide).
- Configure the Historic Data Filter properties (see Specify the Type of Point Data that ClearSCADA is to Store Historically in the Driver IEC 60870-5 Guide).
For IEC 60870-5 KEMA Analog Output Points, use the Control tab to:
- Configure the Control Properties (see Define the Control Settings for an Analog Output Point in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Point Configuration)
- Specify whether any Outstations are given Scanning Priority whenever a Control Action is Issued (see Promoting Scanning of Outstations Associated with Controls in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Point Configuration)
- Refer to the following topics in the IEC 60870-5 Driver Guide for information on how to:
- Specify the Format in which to Transfer Control Data
- Configure the Common IEC 60870-5 Point Control Properties.
For both IEC 60870-5 Analog Input Points and IEC 60870-5 Analog Output Points, use the KEMA tab to:
- Configure the Point Index number (Configuring Properties on the KEMA Tab).
For information on the properties on other tabs, see Tabs on Point Forms in the ClearSCADA Guide to Advanced Drivers.
