Points Used on Kingfisher Outstations

Kingfisher outstations support a combination of these point types:

You need to configure one point of the appropriate type per point at an outstation. You configure the properties of each point using the appropriate Kingfisher Point Form.

This section covers the configuration of properties that are common to many Kingfisher points. It includes information on how to:

For Kingfisher Analog Output Points and Kingfisher Digital Output Points, it also explains how to:

For information on the minimal amount of configuration that you can undertake to produce a functional Kingfisher Point in ClearSCADA, see Minimum Configuration.

For general information on creating a point and displaying a Point Form, see Configuring a Point in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Point Configuration.

NOTE: On systems on which ClearSCADA communicates with Kingfisher outstations using a Master/Slave setup (see Typical Master/Remote Scenarios), each Kingfisher Remote outstation monitors the change of state of its inputs and uses Kingfisher RTUTX statements to send the information to the Kingfisher Master outstation. The information then appears in the Master outstation’s network address registers. It is this register information that is read by ClearSCADA. (In other words, ClearSCADA reads the information from the local Master outstation only and not from the Remote outstations on the network.)
