You can configure a Promotion window for the Secondary Phase scan. The Promotion window is a defined amount of time, during which, ClearSCADA will only attempt to scan promoted outstations for secondary data (logged data).
A Promotion window for the Secondary Phase scan works in a similar way to a Promotion window for a Primary Phase scan (see Promotion Window - Primary Phase). The only differences are that:
- During a Promotion window for the Secondary Phase scan, ClearSCADA only scans those promoted outstations that have secondary data available for transfer.
- The Promotion scan window can be disabled for secondary data. This may be your preference if the speed of secondary data extraction is unimportant on your system. You can disable the Promotion scan window for secondary data by setting the Maximum Secondary Promoted Time to zero.
