Create a Function Block Library

Before you can configure a Function Block Library to represent a custom function block, you need to create a Function Block Library database item. The database item will be used to store the configuration settings for the Function Block Library.

To create a Function Block Library:

1. Display the Database Bar (see Display an Explorer Bar in the ClearSCADA Guide to ViewX and WebX Clients).
2. In the Database Bar, right-click on the system, Group, or Group Template that is to contain the Function Block Library.
   A context sensitive menu is displayed.
3. Select the Create New option, then the Logic option, then the Function Block Library option.
   A new Function Block Library item is added to the tree-structure. It is selected automatically, ready for you to define its name.
4. Enter a suitable name, then press the Enter key or select another part of the interface to confirm your selection.
