Update an ST Library or Function Block Library

If you need to make changes to an ST Library or Function Block Library, you should edit the Library and then update any Logic programs that reference the Library. Working this way means that your Logic programs will use the updated version of the Library.

To update an ST Library or Function Block Library:

1. Display the Database Bar (see Display an Explorer Bar in the ClearSCADA Guide to ViewX and WebX Clients).
2. Display the ST Library or Function Block Library in Design mode (see Display a Logic Program in Design Mode).
3. Alter the code or Function Block diagram as required. You can use the commands in the Logic tab's Build command group to check the code (see Compiling a Function Block Diagram or Function Block Library).
4. Save the Library (see Saving Configuration Changes in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Configuration). Now you need to update the Logic programs that reference the Library.
5. For each Logic program that references the altered Library:
   1. Display the Logic program in Design mode.
   2. Select the Logic tab on the ViewX ribbon.
   3. Select the drop-down menu on the Librariescommand,and select Library Update.
   4. Save the ST program.
