The Error Statistics attribute shows the number of errors generated during any of the read, conversion, or write operations that are summarized by the Comms Statistics attribute.
The Error Statistics indicate the number of occurrences of each of the following, since the scanner was last restarted:
- Read errors—The number of errors generated when attempting to read items. For example, if the client OPC driver issues a read for an item, but the target OPC server returns an error.
- Write errors—The number of errors reported from write operations.
- Conversion errors—The number of conversion errors. A conversion error is generated if, for example, the target OPC server reports a value that is not compatible with the target point type.
- Unknown item errors—The number of write completion messages that have been received for ‘unknown’ controls—controls that have not been sent by the ClearSCADA server.
