Minimum Configuration
For the OPC server to be functional (online), you have to specify:
- The OPC Program ID that identifies the OPC server with which ClearSCADA is to communicate.
- For Remote Server connections, the name of the node on which the OPC data is located, and the domain name, user name and password that are required to access the server.
- For Local Server connections, the domain name, user name and password that are required to access the data on that server.
- For servers that use OPC security to limit data access, the user name and password that allow the required data access.
You also need to put the server In Service, and save the configuration.
The minimum configuration listed above will provide a functional OPC server that uses the default configuration.
