Pager Specific Alarm and Event Categories
Each alarm and event on a ClearSCADA system has a Category that indicates the type of alarm or event. The Category is included in the Events List by default and, if applicable, is also included in the Alarms List and the Alarm Banner.
If required, you can filter the entries in the Events List or Alarms List by category. You can choose to filter the lists by a variety of ‘core’ categories as well as any categories that are specific to the drivers that are installed on your system.
On systems that have the Pager driver components installed, the ‘core’ alarm and event categories are available as well as these Pager-specific categories:
- Pager Comms—Entries associated with events and alarms that relate to the communications status of a pager service. For example, an event is logged when there is an attempt to connect with a pager and an alarm is raised if there are failed communications between the ClearSCADA server and a pager.
- SMS Pager Service—Entries associated with unexpected or erroneous responses from the GSM modem (the Pager Driver can still communicate with the GSM modem, but either the content of the SMS message being received is invalid or ClearSCADA is unable to process the SMS command).
