Alarm Limits
Use the fields within the Alarm Limits section of the Counter Point tab to:
- Specify the limit values for the point
- Specify whether ClearSCADA generates an alarm or event if the value of the counter rises to, or exceeds, a limit.
For information on configuring a counter point’s High High and High limits, and the properties for when the counter is in its Normal operating range, see Configure the Limits for a Counter Type Point in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Point Configuration.
For information on the Tune Limits property, see Define Whether a Counter Type Point's Limits can be Tuned in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Point Configuration.
- Area Of Interest—If the Area of Interest feature is enabled on your system, ClearSCADA displays an Area of Interest field within the Alarm Limits section (see Enable the Area of Interest Feature in ClearSCADA in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Configuration).
Use the browse button to display a Reference browse window. Select the relevant Area Of Interest from the window (see Specify the Area of Interest Associated with a Point's State Related Alarms and Events in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Point Configuration).
When ClearSCADA raises an alarm for the point, the alarm will only be visible to users who have access to this Area of Interest.
