Diagnostic System Error
Associated with: SCADAPack 50 Outstations.
This status attribute is a numeric value that represents the last system diagnostic error code that the device generated. A device abnormal condition could affect the ability of the device to send diagnostic messages. Therefore, ClearSCADA may not be notified about device abnormal conditions.
NOTE: This attribute indicates the latest value that the device has sent to ClearSCADA. The device transmits the data to ClearSCADA in diagnostic SMS messages.
The possible diagnostic error codes are as follows:
Diagnostic Error Code | Description |
---|---|
0 |
The device has not detected an abnormal condition.

The battery voltage is too low to provide certainty of a complete transmission. The device uses a significant amount of power during a GSM transmission. If the battery voltage drops below a predefined threshold during a transmission, the device will interrupt the transmission. This is to avoid an overall loss of power. If the device interrupts a transmission, the device will generate this diagnostic message. |
2 | Clock anomaly detected. |
3 | Data lost in RAM. The device may generate this diagnostic message when an operator changes the battery. |
4 | Inconsistency detected in internal memory. The device may generate this diagnostic if an operator installs new memory or changes the device firmware. |
5 | Abnormal condition in compiling SMS. The device may generate this diagnostic message if it attempts to send an incomplete SMS message. |
6 | Anomaly in external EEPROM memory access. This could indicate a loss of data history in the device. |
7 | Inconsistency in the program. This could indicate that an operator has loaded an invalid firmware version. |
