Reset Counter Duration
Associated with: SCADAPack 50 Digital Points on the device. SCADAPack 50 Analog Point or SCADAPack 50 Counter Point database items in ClearSCADA.
Security permission required to access this pick action: Control.
You can set a device point to record a Closed Contact Duration count. This is the length of time (in seconds) that the point has not recorded data since the last reset. Enter the number of seconds as an integer value. You can represent the Closed Contact Duration count in ClearSCADA as an Analog or a Counter point database item.
Use this pick action to reset to 0 the Closed Contact Duration value for a device logical point. The device will not receive the action request until it has sent at least one more set of data SMS messages. Therefore, the reset will not take place immediately. When ClearSCADA sends a reset request to the device, the arrival time depends on the GSM network and the device availability. Therefore, you need to wait for a confirmation response from the device before you send another reset request.
In response to this pick action, the device will send an SMS message notification of the time when it reset the value. ClearSCADA stores both this time information and the reset value.
NOTE: If you are using this pick action with the Automation Interface, you need to specify the method name ResetCounterDuration.
