The Source status attribute is common to many Status displays. The attribute indicates the location at which an item resides. The information shown varies, depending on the type of item.

For outstations, the attribute information has the following format:

OS <'Outstation Name'>,<'Device Modem Telephone Number'>.

For points, the attribute information has the following format:

OS <'Outstation Name'>,<'Device Modem Telephone Number'> :<PointTag 'Point Identity'>.

NOTE: The abbreviation OS means outstation.

Example:

OS 'TankA', '889012345678'.

The source is a device (or outstation) called 'Tank A' and the device's modem telephone number is '889012345678'.

OS 'TankA','+447706050130':PointTag 'BL'.

The source is an analog point that records the device's battery level (BL). The point relates to the device (or outstation) called 'Tank A' and the device's modem telephone number is '+447706050130'.
