Use the Outstation Name field on the SCADAPack 50 tab to specify a device name. ClearSCADA can potentially receive messages from many devices. The Telephone Number and Outstation Name together identify to ClearSCADA which device this is (see Specify an Outstation Telephone Number).
- Outstation Name—Specify the device name.
We recommend that you use a short name, so that it requires less space in the SMS message. Potentially, this could mean that the device sends fewer SMS messages and this could increase battery life.
ATTENTION: The Outstation Name corresponds to the Device Identifier on the device.
