There is no Response to a SCADAPack 50 Configuration Download
If you do not receive a response from the device after you send a configuration from ClearSCADA, there could be a number of reasons. These might include:
- ClearSCADA might not be communicating with the GSM network.
- The configuration might still be held in the GSM network for delivery.
- The response is not yet due.
- The response might have gone missing in the GSM network.
You can check the following:
- Check that there is communication between ClearSCADA and the device (see There is no Communication Between ClearSCADA and a SCADAPack 50 Device).
- Check that the Available field on the Outstation tab of the Outstation database item is not set to Receive Only (see Specify the Communications Availability of the SCADAPack 50 Device).
- If the Available field on the Outstation tab of the Outstation database item is set to Periodic, check that the period that is set is not causing delays (see Specify the Communications Availability of the SCADAPack 50 Device).
- Check the Events List for the Outstation database item to see if ClearSCADA has sent SMS messages to the GSM network (see Events Lists.in the ClearSCADA Guide to Lists).
- Check the Status display for the Outstation database item (see View a Status Display in the ClearSCADA Guide to ViewX and WebX Clients). The Expires status attribute gives an estimation of how long a response to a configuration download should take. This indicates when ClearSCADA has not received a response message or that a configuration change may not have taken place.
