Configuring SCADAPack Modbus Server Settings

NOTE: If your system is running the SCADAPack Modbus RealFLO Extension Driver, refer to the ClearSCADA Guide to the SCADAPack Modbus RealFLO Driver for any driver-specific settings that are not mentioned below.

Some driver-specific settings need configuring on the server by a system administrator when a system is first installed. These settings are configured using the ClearSCADA Server Configuration tool. For information on accessing the ClearSCADA Server Configuration tool, see Configuring Advanced Driver Server Settings in the ClearSCADA Guide to Advanced Drivers.

This section explains the settings that are specific to the SCADAPack Modbus section of the tool. These settings are in addition to those that apply to the SCADAPack Modbus driver's 'parent' driver. For information on those settings, see Configuring Advanced Modbus Server Settings in the ClearSCADA Guide to the Advanced Modbus Driver.

When the SCADAPack Modbus driver is first installed on a ClearSCADA system, a system administrator should:

  1. Define the Delay While a Controller Performs a Reset.
  2. Define the Acceptable Controller Clock Drift.
  3. Apply the changes to the server (see Configuring Advanced Driver Server Settings in the ClearSCADA Guide to Advanced Drivers).
  4. If the driver is currently running on the server, restart the driver for the changes to take effect (see Start and Stop a Driver in the ClearSCADA Guide to Server Administration).

ATTENTION: This driver is an extension driver. To restart an extension driver, you restart its 'parent' driver. As such, any other extension drivers that are supported by the 'parent' driver, and that are running on your system, will also be restarted.

  5. Repeat the procedure for each server on the system, other than Permanent Standby servers.
