Eavesdropping allows a new system to run in parallel with an existing system in order to test the new system’s configuration. The Modbus protocol uses an Rx and Tx eavesdropping arrangement.
While eavesdropping is in progress, any unexpected behavior can be investigated using the Advanced Modbus Eavesdrop logging option see Driver Logging Options that are Specific to the Advanced Modbus Driver in the ClearSCADA Guide to the Advanced Modbus Driver). .
