Define the Minimum Drift before ClearSCADA Sets the RealFLO Clock

You can use the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool to define minimum amount of time by which a RealFLO controller’s clock has to drift before ClearSCADA sets the clock’s time.

To define the minimum clock drift before the RealFLO clock is set, you need to use the RealFLO section in the Global Parameters branch of the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool.

To set minimum drift time:

  1. Access the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool, (see Accessing the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool).
  2. Expand the Global Parameters branch.
  3. Select RealFLO.

  4. Use the Minimum clock drift before RealFlO clock is set field to specify the minimum amount of time by which a RealFLO controller’s clock has to drift before ClearSCADA is to set the clock’s time. This setting applies to all RealFLO controllers connected to ClearSCADA.

Specify a suitable time, in seconds, so that ClearSCADA does not reset the clock on RealFLO controllers excessively. (When a controller’s clock is set using the RealFLO method, the controller logs an event and restarts the current Hour log. Excessive setting of the clock would cause the controller to generate numerous such events and to send those events to ClearSCADA.)
