Configuring an SDI-12 Analog Point
The SDI-12 driver uses SDI-12 Analog Points to reference the individual items of data (measurements) that are to be extracted from an SDI-12 sensor.
You need to create and configure one SDI-12 Analog Point for each measurement that ClearSCADA is to extract using the SDI-12 protocol.
Configure the properties of each analog point using the fields on the SDI-12 Analog Point Form.
The Form has several tabs. This section covers configuration of properties on the SDI-12 tab of the Form. Use the SDI-12 tab to:
- Configure the SDI-12 Properties
- Define the Significant Change Properties (see Define the Criteria for a Significant Change in Value in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Point Configuration).
For information on configuring the properties on the Analog Point tab, see Defining Analog Point Details in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Point Configuration.
For information on the properties on other tabs, see Tabs on Point Forms in the ClearSCADA Guide to Simple Drivers.
For basic information on creating and configuring a point, see Configuring a Point in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Point Configuration.
ATTENTION: A ‘Point does not fall within range of scanner’ message is displayed at the bottom of the Point Form should more points be assigned to a scanner than are specified in that scanner’s Data Length field (see Configure the Sensor Properties).
