Points Used on SE Rod Pump Controllers
With ClearSCADA’s SE RPC driver, you use:
- Generic Advanced Modbus points to retrieve current point data from an SE Rod Pump controller. ClearSCADA retrieves the data at the ‘Retrieval Interval’ specified on the Point Form (see Configure Common Point Properties in the ClearSCADA Guide to the Advanced Modbus Driver).
For information on Generic Advanced Modbus points, see Points Used on Generic Modbus Controllers in the ClearSCADA Guide to the Advanced Modbus Driver.
- SE RPC points to retrieve historic (time stamped) data that is stored on an SE Rod Pump controller. (SE RPC points are designed to process only historic data.) ClearSCADA retrieves the historic point data at the 'Historic Data Poll Interval' specified on the SE RPC outstation Form (see Define the Historic Data Poll Interval).
SE Rod Pump controllers support a combination of these SE RPC point types:
- SE RPC Analog Input Points—see Configuring SE RPC Analog Input Points.
- SE RPC Digital Input Points—see Configuring SE RPC Digital Input Points.
For information on the minimal amount of configuration that you can undertake to produce a functional SE RPC point in ClearSCADA, see Minimum Configuration.
