Debugging a Script
You can use ClearSCADA’s Debug feature to check the validity of your script. This is a useful way of locating syntax errors and mistakes in your code that cause unexpected results.
The Debug feature is available for use with Mimic scripts and Alarm Banner scripts. To access it, you need enable Debug Mode.
In this section we explain how to enable Debug Mode, and provide details on how to:
- Debug a Script
- Display the Current Script Execution Path
- View and Edit Variables while Debugging
- Report a Script Failure - Disable CompressWebRequests
- Disable Script Execution when starting a ViewX client.
NOTE: The Debug feature is only available after you have installed the Microsoft Windows scd 10en.exe
feature. This feature is provided as a third-party application on your ClearSCADA CD/DVD.
