Save an Alarm Banner Script
Alarm Banner scripts can be stored in the database, either as part of the Alarm Banner or in Script Libraries. To store a script in the database as part of the Alarm Banner, you have to Display the Global Script Editor, and then store the script's configuration as you would any other configuration changes in ClearSCADA (see Saving Configuration Changes in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Configuration).
If a syntax error is detected when you save the script, the document window will enter Diagnostic Mode (see Diagnostic Mode in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Configuration). If this occurs, you can choose to Continue editing the script, or to Save anyway.
NOTE: It is recommended that you attempt to fix any syntax errors before you save an Alarm Banner script, as this will interfere with the operation of the Alarm Banner.
You can use Script Libraries to store scripts that are available for use in your Alarm Banner script—the Alarm Banner script can reference the Script Libraries so that you don't need to type in the same script repeatedly. For more information, see Script Libraries.
