You can use the Display Objects Under Exclusive Control action to display a list of the database items in a Group or Group Instance that are currently under exclusive control. This information is useful if you need to investigate problems, as some information (such as alarm data for specific items) may only be available to the user with exclusive control of those items.
To display a list of items under the exclusive control of another user:
- Access the context sensitive menu of the item for which you want to take exclusive control (see Display the Object Menu in the ClearSCADA Guide to ViewX Clients and WebX Clients).
- Select the Display Objects Under Exclusive Control option.
A list is displayed. The list contains information about each database item that is in the selected Group or Group Instance and is currently under the exclusive control of a user. The list shows the name of the item and the name of the user account that has exclusive control of the item.
The list only includes those items for which your user account has the Read permission and that are under exclusive control. There may be other database items in the Group or Group Instance that are under exclusive control but are not shown in the list (due to your user account not having the Read permission for those items).
