Communications State - Failed: Assign to TCP/IP Port Failed
A channel can fail due to errors occurring on the connections between the driver and the port server.
If there is a Communications State - Failed: Assign to TCP/IP Port Failed message, you should check the network connection by 'pinging' the remote computer from the main server. To do this, access the Microsoft Windows Command Prompt and enter:
Ping <IP Address or name of remote computer>
Do not enter the angle brackets.
If the network connection is working correctly, the remote computer server will return data that you will see in the Command Prompt window. This indicates that there is not a fault with your network, and in this situation you should contact Schneider Electric for assistance.
If there is no reply, there is a network fault.
