Define whether a Standard Custom Field is Shown on a Form

For standard custom fields that have their Section setting defined as Configuration (see Define the Data Section for a Standard Custom Field), you can choose to hide the field from view. This is useful when the custom field you have added is for configuration that does not change as a result of user action, for example, a field that is written to by automation.

To define whether a standard custom field is shown on a Form, you need to use the Edit Field window (see Add a New Extra Field or see Modify an Existing Extra Field).

When you have displayed the Edit Field window, you can define the visibility of the custom field by using the Show on Form setting:

When you have defined the Show on Form setting, you can continue to define the other field settings as required.
