Enable or Disable Point Quality Classifications

You can use the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool to define whether the Quality Classifications feature is enabled or disabled. You can only set a quality classification for a point if the Quality Classifications feature is enabled.

To enable or disable the Quality Classifications feature:

  1. Access the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool (see Accessing the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool).
  2. Expand the Database Configuration branch.
  3. Select Quality Classifications.
  4. Right-click on the background of the quality classifications list display to access a context sensitive menu. The list will be empty if point quality classifications have not been set up on your system.
  5. Either:
    • Select the Enabled option to enable the Quality Classifications feature. A check mark is shown next to the option when the feature is enabled.
    • Deselect the Enabled option to disable the Quality Classifications feature.
  6. Right-click on the system icon in the tree-structure, and select the Apply Changes option to apply the changes.

Now that you have enabled or disabled the quality classifications feature, you can either proceed to configure quality classifications or you can continue with the server configuration.

If you are unfamiliar with the server configuration process, we recommend that you proceed to learn about Alarm and Event Severities
