Example Configuration: Database Backup
You can configure ClearSCADA to back up your database at regular intervals. You may also want to consider the following:
- You can configure a schedule to back up the database automatically at regular intervals. For example, every week
- You can create a mimic that shows the progress of the backup
- If you want to send a backup to a remote computer over a slow network, you may want to back up your ClearSCADA database locally first, then zip up the backup files and copy the zip file to the remote server.
The following examples show how to configure ClearSCADA to:
- Example 1: Schedule a Database Backup and View the Backup Status on a Mimic
- Example 2: Back up a Database and Compress the Backup After Completion
- Example 3: Back Up and Compress a Database and Then Send It Over a Network
