Select the Time Field on which to Index
Use the Alarm Summary Index setting to specify the time field that is used to access the alarm summary data when an Alarm Summary is displayed.
ATTENTION: When you select the required time field the data will be created and arranged on the time field that you selected. If you later change the Index option, the existing data will not be reorganized and the Alarm Summary list will not display the data correctly. You will need to delete the existing data files and restart the server.
To define the Index:
- Access the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool, (see Accessing the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool).
- Expand the Historic Configuration branch.
- Select the, Alarm Summary entry.
- Use the Index combo box to select the time field for the index required.
You can select from the following two options:
- Active Time—This refers to the time that an alarm is raised and changed state. This is the default column.
- Inactive Time—This refers to the time that an alarm becomes inactive. A change of state creates a new active alarm entry.
