When Should I Change the Transfer Timeouts?

On many systems, the default timeout settings are appropriate:

However, if you need to detect problems with the connection more quickly, you can reduce the timeout amounts. We do not recommend that you reduce the timeouts unless specifically advised to do so by a Schneider Electric engineer as if the timeouts are too short, the system may incorrectly regard a connection or server as having failed.
