DA Groups
The DA Groups category provides status information about the DA Groups to which a client subscribes. Each DA Group consists of items that the client is being used to monitor, for example, values on a Mimic.
The method used to subscribe to an DA Group varies according to the client application. For ViewX, there is an DA Group per Mimic, so a Mimic that contains an embedded Mimic will subscribe to 2 DA Groups.
The status information for the DA Groups is categorized under these headings:
- Id—Indicates the identity number of the group. This number is generated by ClearSCADA and is in hexadecimal.
- Name—Indicates the name that has been allocated to the group. This includes the name of the System.
- State—Indicates the number of clients that can access the group. The State entry can be:
- Private—The group can be accessed by one client.
- Public—The group can be accessed by every client.
- Total Clients—Indicates the number of clients that are connected to the group.
- Active Clients—Indicates whether the server sends group data to the client when the group data changes. The Active Clients entry can be:
- 0—The server does not send updated group data to the clients.
- n—The server sends updated group data to the clients (from 1 to n, where n is the total number of clients).
- Def Rate—Indicates the update rate at which the server sends the group data to the client. The Def Rate is in milliseconds.
- Def Handle—Displays a client handle value. This is unique to the client and is generated by the client.
- Def LCID—Displays the locale identity. This number corresponds to the locale as defined in the client's regional settings. For more information, please refer to your operating system documentation.
- Def Bias—Indicates the amount of time that is added to, or subtracted from Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) to calculate the local time for the OPC DA client.
- The Def Bias is indicated in minutes.
- Def DBand—The default deadband. This is a percentage from 0.0 to 100.0.
