Data File Cache
The Data File Cache category shows statistical information about the data files that are used by Data Grids. The data that is used within Data Grids is stored in data files. When the data in the files is required, the relevant data files are loaded into memory. If changes are made to the data files while they are loaded in memory, ClearSCADA will attempt to flush these changes so that they are stored in the data files on disk.
The Data File Cache statistics are displayed under these categories:
- Total Files Size—The total amount of memory being used by data files.
- Maximum Cache Size—The maximum amount of memory permitted for use by data files.
- Current Cache Size—The current amount of memory being used by data files.
- Percentage Used—The percentage of the total cache currently being used by data files. This can exceed 100% as the size of data files loaded into memory can exceed the cache size.
- Total Files—The total number of data files on the system.
- Cached Files—The total number of data files loaded into memory.
- Changed Files—The total number of data files that have been altered while in memory and are waiting to be flushed to the stored data files.
