Zoom In on a Trend

To zoom in on a Trend’s trace(s) or X-Axis either:

  1. Display a Trend in Run Mode.
  2. Use one of the following techniques:
    • Select the Zoom In command from the Navigation group on the ribbon's Home tab.
      The Trend is magnified so that the X-Axis shows a shorter time range.

    Or:

    • Press the F7 function key.
      The Trend is magnified so that the X-Axis shows a shorter time range.

    Or:

    1. Select the Zoom Box command from the Navigation group on the ribbon's Home tab.
      The Zoom Box is activated.
    2. Use the cursor to draw a zoom box over the area of the trace that you want to magnify.
      The Trend is magnified so that the X-Axis shows a shorter time range.

    Or:

    • Position the cursor over the X-Axis or main display area of the Trend then roll the mouse wheel forward (this is only available if your mouse has a wheel).
      The Trend is magnified so that the X-Axis shows a shorter time range.

    Or:

    • Right-click on the X-Axis or main display area of the Trend to display a context sensitive menu, then select the Zoom In option.
      The Trend is magnified so that the X-Axis shows a shorter time range.

To zoom in on a Y-Axis:

  1. Display a Trend in Run Mode.
  2. Either:
    • Right-click on the Y-Axis to display a context sensitive menu, then select the Zoom In option.
      The Y-Axis is magnified so that it shows a smaller range of values.

    Or:

    1. Select the Zoom Box option.
      The Zoom Box is activated.
    2. Use the cursor to draw a zoom box over the Y-Axis that you want to magnify.
      The Y-Axis is magnified so that it shows a smaller range of values.

    Or:

    • Position the cursor over the Y-Axis, then roll the mouse wheel forward (this is only available if your mouse has a wheel).
      The Y-Axis is magnified so that it shows a smaller range of values.
