Zooming In and Out on a Trend

Like Mimics, Trends have Zoom tools that allow you to zoom in and zoom out on the Trend display. However, whereas the zoom tools on a Mimic make the Mimic objects appear larger or smaller, the zoom tools on a Trend alter the amount of time shown on the X-Axis or the range of values shown on a Y-Axis.

By zooming in on a trace or an X-Axis, you decrease the amount of time shown on the X-Axis and so you can view the differences in trace values more closely. If you zoom out on a trace or X-Axis, the X-Axis shows more time and so more values are shown on the Trend (but in less detail).

If you zoom in on a Y-Axis, you decrease the range of values shown on the Y-Axis and so the Trend displays a more focused view of a smaller range of values. If you zoom out on a Y-Axis, you increase the range and so the trace on the Trend can show a wider range of values.
