Specify the Controller Address
On radio networks on which multiple diagnostics software applications are active, each diagnostics application has to be assigned a different controller address. The controller address is used to identify the diagnostics application with which communications are associated and so avoid impacting on system performance.
Use the Controller Address field on the Channel tab to identify the controller address of the diagnostics software application for which this channel provides communications.
Leave at the default of 1 if ClearSCADA is the only diagnostics software application in use on the radio network.
If multiple diagnostics software applications are active on your radio network, use the Controller Address field to specify the address that identifies ClearSCADA as the diagnostics application that is interrogating the radios via this channel. Specify the required controller address in the range 1 to 999 inclusive. The address is included in the messages transmitted via the channel.
