Specify the TCP ‘Keep Alive’ Interval

This section applies when a Trio Diagnostics channel has a TCP/IP Connection Type and the channel’s TCP/IP Type is set to TCP.

Use the Keep Alive Time field to specify the frequency with which ClearSCADA transmits test messages across the active TCP socket. The test messages are sent to check that the link remains active.

Enter the time in the OPC Time Format.

If communications with the ‘base’ radio is via a Terminal Server or similar device, be aware that the connection may still close due to an application level timeout in that device (as the Keep Alive Time only works at the TCP level).

Specify a Keep Alive Time of 0 (zero) if such a timer is not required.
